A great Cedric Yarbrough moment from Entry Level

Here’s a moment I love from Entry Level. Sam Beirstagen (Cedric Yarbrough) is Clay’s job counselor. Big help he is.
Cedric Yarbrough steals scenes in Entry Level.
Cedric Yarbrough is one of those actors who steals scenes in every movie. I think people cast him just to bring that comic magic. You see him in a lot of big studio films like Get Smart and The 40 Year Old Virgin. And of course, he’s best known from Reno 911, a show that was too funny for television.
I had worked with him once when I was helping produce my friend Paco Farias’s awesome short, Broken. (*) Cedric killed in his role there and ever since, I wanted to work with him in one of my own films. About halfway through writing this scene in Entry Level, Cedric just stuck in my brain as the perfect guy to pull it off.
(* When I say I “worked with him” what I actually mean is that I filled out the SAG paperwork on set and asked him to sign it.)
